Announcing Kohl Children's Museum Science Fridays

Kohl Children's Museum Science Fridays program
This news about the Science Fridays program at the Kohl Children’s Museum in Glenview, Illinois is gleaned from a press release I received. If you're looking for original commentary about STEM programs, activities and resources for kids in Chicago and across the US, check out my blog The Maker Mom.

Northwestern Medicine’s Glenview Outpatient Center and Kohl Children’s Museum have partnered to host a new children’s educational series called Science Fridays. Northwestern physicians and museum staff provide live demonstrations about topics such as eyesight, our senses and breathing, and lead children in hands-on activities to help them learn through experimentation and question and answer.

“At Science Fridays, Northwestern physicians guide the children through activities to help them learn through play,” said Micah J. Eimer, MD, FACC, a cardiologist and the medical director of the Northwestern Medicine Glenview Outpatient Center. “We’re very excited to interact with children and their caregivers in the fun and engaging environment of the Kohl Children’s Museum.”

Science Fridays is offered every other Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Adventures in Art exhibit at the Kohl Children’s Museum at 2100 Patriot Boulevard in Glenview.  Physicians who will lead the discussions include primary care physicians and specialists based at the Glenview Outpatient Center at 2701 Patriot Boulevard.
